CityCare Connect Staff
From complex needs, to simple needs, residents in Connect House are cared for by the full
range of medically trained professionals. Nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and
occupational therapists are in attendance daily, in addition to any specialist staff as
required by our residents.
Health care professionals attending CityCare Connect are provided by CityCare, a leading
community health care provider and has vast experience in providing a full range of services
to the people of Nottingham and beyond.
Our staff are carefully selected to ensure they are right for our residents. Appropriate
qualifications are the basic requirement, it is essential they be caring and compassionate,
and they must display the CityCare values of Integrity, expertise, unity and enterprise.

Gaynor Smart-McCann - Registered Manager
Gaynor holds recognised qualifications as required by the Care Quality Commission to be
the Registered Manager at Connect House. Gaynor has over 30 years’ experience in a
variety of Health and Social Care settings.
Louise Williams - Health Care Assistant
Louise has worked at Connect since opening in October 2014 Louise is new to health and
social care and is enjoying her role at Connect.
Paulette Blair - Health Care Assistant
Paulette has worked at Connect since opening in November working as a health care
assistant. Paulette has experience in a variety of care settings.
Corrina Morrison - Deputy Manager
Corrina has worked in various health care settings and has experience in the community
and long term care. Corrina has the relevant qualifications for her role the main focus
of which is care delivery.
Claire Rudyj - Team Leader
Claire works as Team Leader at Connect House, Claire has worked in various care settings
and is a well experienced member of the team.
Jason Turner - Maintenance Worker
Jason is responsible for the homes maintenance, with particular focus on health and
safety and the day to day running of the building.
Sharon Mitchell - Head of Housekeeping
Sharron has worked in care settings for the last 16 years and has a variety of
experience, skills and knowledge. Sharron is a dedicated member of the team and ensures
that the home is cleaned to the highest standard.
Julie Johnson - Laundry Person
Julie has worked at Connect since opening in October 2014, Julie began work as HCA,
however has now moved to working in the laundry as a new challenge.
Jess Wheatcroft - Reception / Administration
Jess has many years' experience within the care home setting in a range of job roles. Her
role is based on the reception desk meeting and greeting visitors to Connect House,
manning the telephone and maintaining administrative systems.
Amie Woodcock - Care Co-ordinator
Her role is specifically to deal with the safe admission and discharge of residents at
Carol Knott - Non-executive Independent Chair
Carol has spent her entire career in healthcare and has board-level managerial experience
in public, private and not-for-profit organisations in the UK and overseas. Carol is
still a practicing pharmacist so brings a mix of professional and managerial skills to
Tracy Tyrrell - Director of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals
Tracy brings a long record of service in the health sector and is a Registered Nurse and
holds an MSC in Public Sector Management. Tracy has worked in a number of healthcare
settings in both provider and commissioner organisations undertaking a wide range of
clinical and leadership roles. Tracy is passionate about driving forward high quality
patient safe care that provides our patients with the highest experience through
integrated working across the health and social care system and ensuring both innovation
and opportunities are maximized.
Loraine Parker - Lead Nurse RN Dip N BSc (Hons)DN
Loraine has over 25 years nursing experience, 18 years of which has been community based,
working as a district nurse practice teacher and more recently as a specialist nurse
practitioner for care homes. As Lead nurse Loraine is committed in ensuring that
residents receive high quality person centred, compassionate care. Caring for both
residents and their relatives in a relaxed friendly environment.
Phyllis Brackenbury - Director of Operations and Transformation
Phyllis has extensive clinical experience in nursing, midwifery and health visiting, and
has worked in Nottinghamshire for around 30 years. Phyllis holds an Msc in Public Health
and has worked in Health and Local Authority settings. She is committed to transforming
and improving the services provided to our local population.
